- Accumulator
- a bet that combines multiple selections, all of which must win for the bet to pay out.
- Asian Handicap
- a spread betting system that eliminates the draw outcome and gives a goal advantage/disadvantage to teams.
- Bankroll
- the total amount of money set aside for placing bets.
- Bet Builder
- a feature allowing you to combine multiple markets from a single match into one wager.
- Bet Slip
- the electronic record that shows your selected bets, odds, and potential payout before you confirm.
- Cash Out
- an option to settle a bet before the event ends, locking in a profit or limiting a loss.
- Closing Line
- the final odds offered just before an event starts, used to evaluate betting performance.
- Double Chance
- a bet that covers two of the three possible outcomes of a match (e.g., home win or draw).
- Draw No Bet
- a market where you bet on a team to win; if the match ends in a draw, the stake is refunded.
- Edge
- an advantage a bettor believes they have over the bookmaker's odds.
- Fixed Odds
- a betting price set at the time the bet is placed, remaining unchanged regardless of later line shifts.
- Free Bet
- a promotional token that can be used to place a bet without risking your own money.
- Handicap
- a points or goal adjustment applied to a team to level the playing field for betting purposes.
- In-Play Betting
- placing bets on a match while it is already in progress, with odds updating in real time.
- Lay Bet
- a bet that a particular outcome will NOT happen, typically placed on a betting exchange.
- Live Odds
- the continuously updated odds offered during an ongoing event.
- Margin
- the bookmaker's built-in advantage, expressed as a percentage, which ensures profitability over the long term.
- Odds Format
- the way odds are displayed, such as decimal, fractional, or moneyline.
- Over/Under
- a bet on whether a specific statistic (e.g., total goals) will be over or under a set number.
- Parlay
- another term for an accumulator, linking multiple selections for a larger potential payout.
- Payout
- the total amount returned to the bettor when a bet wins, including stake and profit.
- Spread Betting
- a form of betting where the return is based on the accuracy of the prediction, not just win/loss.
- Stake
- the amount of money wagered on a single bet.
- Steam
- rapid line movement caused by a sudden influx of betting action on one side.
- Value Bet
- a selection where the perceived probability of an outcome is higher than the odds imply, offering positive expected value.
